Here in Lee County, fall means waterfront concerts, pumpkin patches under palm trees, local art walks, corn mazes, haunted nature trails and finally being able to enjoy an outdoor festival without immediately melting.
As a Fort Myers local, I wanted this guide to go beyond the large events everyone already knows. Along with the major festivals, I searched for neighborhood celebrations, library programs, farm events, local markets and small-town festivals that visitors can easily miss.
This guide covers the best fall events in Lee County, Florida, from September through November 2026, including activities in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero, Alva, Matlacha, Pine Island and Fort Myers Beach.

The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest brings professional songwriters to restaurants, resorts and intimate venues throughout Lee County.
Instead of watching a performance from the back of a huge arena, you can listen to songwriters perform while sharing the stories behind their music. The festival features more than 60 performances, and many of them are free.
The event moves between Captiva, Downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach, making it possible to build an entire weekend around the performances.

Friendly Forest Fall Festival
Dates: September 19–20, 2026

Location: Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium
Admission: $13 for adults and $7 for children

This is a gentler alternative to Calusa’s much scarier Haunted Walk, which begins in October.
Farmer Mike’s Fall Festival and Corn Mazes

Location: 26031 Morton Avenue, Bonita Springs
Best for: Families, teenagers and traditional fall activities
Farmer Mike’s offers one of the most complete fall-farm experiences in Southwest Florida.
The festival includes several corn mazes, pumpkins, seasonal attractions and nighttime maze experiences. The 2026 family maze theme is “Journey to the Center of the Earth.”

Matlacha Art Walk

This small community event is easy to overlook because it is hosted by the Pine Island Public Library rather than a major attraction.

Alliance Morning Artisan Market
