Turn your bedroom into a Christmas themed room on a budget

The most wonderful time of the year has finally arrived. Well, almost arrived. I will confess that I like to start Christmas decorating a bit earlier than most people and by a bit early I mean second week of November.
Christmas is our family's favorite holiday and we get super excited about getting the entire home into the Christmas spirit.
Decorating for Christmas doesn't have to break the bank either, you can find really great and cute items at the Dollar tree, Five Below, Ross, and other discount stores. I recommend that you check out those stores a week or two prior to Thanksgiving so you don't run into the chances of most of the items being gone.
Also, Michael's usually has great sales on Christmas items beginning of November or the first week of January and if you are a veteran you can also get 10% off on everything including items that are on sale/clearance. Check out this post with over 100 businesses that offer discounts to Veterans all year long.
As for Bath and Body works make sure you are signed up to receive their coupons in the mail so you can get a free item ( usually up to $13) and up to 20% discount on your entire purchase. They have beautiful candle pedestals but a bit pricey in my opinion so the coupon always comes in handy.
Christmas bedroom makeover
This year we decided to do a Christmas makeover to the master bedroom but we also made the decision to not go over board and stay on budget. We were able to do that by using a few things we already had such as the garland and the bedding.
The bedding alone saved us a good couple of hundred dollars and the rest of the items were mostly all bought from dollar tree. Keep in mind that you may not find the exact items I bought from dollar tree but use your imagination to create your dream Christmas room. If you want some inspiration, this Pinterest board is filled with ideas to help you out.
Now, here is the final result of our bedroom makeover and I am absolutely in love with it. So happy we were able to stay on budget but still got what we wanted.
