A facial mud mask is great to help cleanse and detoxify your skin and it's also a great way to treat yourself.
As you read a book, listen to your favorite podcast or just simply relax in the tub, you can face mask and relax your way through a healthier and more hydrated skin.
Now, be sure to look for products without chemicals as they may irritate your skin instead of nourishing it. If you want to ensure your facial mask does not contain any toxic ingredients you can make your own by following the easy recipe below.
For this specific recipe we used Melaleuca, Lavender and Frankincense for their skin rejuvenation and refreshing properties, however, you can replace them with the oils of your preference.
DIY Clay Facial Mask using essential oils

2 teaspoons bentonite clay
2 teaspoons of honey
2 teaspoons of distilled water
1 drop Frankincense oil
1 drop Lavender oil
1 drop Melaleuca oil
Combine clay and honey in bowl and stir until well combined.Tip: For a thicker mask, add an additional half teaspoon of clay.
Add Melaleuca, Frankincense and Lavender essential oils.
Apply to clean skin, avoiding the areas around eyes and mouth.
Let it dry for 5–15 minutes until the masks hardens.
Rinse with warm water and follow with moisturizer.
Note: Do not use a metal bowl or spoon with bentonite clay as it can make it less effective.
