The Cape Coral Farmers' Market is your Saturday destination for fresh, locally grown produce, native plants, Gulf-fresh seafood, just-baked breads and pastries and so much more! The market, located between 47th Terrace and SE 10th Place, is open from 8:00am until 1:00pm and has the area's finest quality vendors, live music and entertainment, as well as informative community presentations. The 34th Annual Cape Coral Arts & Music Festival is produced by the Rotary Club of Cape Coral and is a celebration of national and local fine arts & crafts and music.

The 2019 event will feature 300 juried exhibitors and will take place outdoors on Cape Coral Parkway on Saturday, January 12 from 10am-9pm and on Sunday, January 13 from 10am-6pm.

A fun carnival featuring rides, games, entertainment and food held St Andrew Catholic Church located Del Prado Blvd. and SE 27th St. (One block south of the Midpoint Bridge).Free parking is available and located on the church grounds, and at The Breeze, Busey Bank,and Fifth Third Bank parking lots. Admission is free and wrist bands are available for purchase at the carnival for $75 or pre sale for $55. Wrist bands grants access to unlimited rides for all 4 days of the event.

Bluegrass Jamboree at Cultural Park

Join the Cape Coral Historical Museum as they host their 4th Annual Bluegrass Jamboree on Saturday, January 26 at 544 Cultural Park Boulevard.  

Entertainment will include national band Nu-Blue of Siler, North Carolina, along with SW Florida's Swinging Bridge, a Tribute to Patsy Cline by Linda Fazioli and locals Blu-Ridg at the gate. Dick Spottswood of Bluegrass Country 88.5 will act as emcee for the event.

Gates will open at 11:00 a.m. with the opening ceremony at 12:00 p.m. and music until 5:00 p.m.

General admission tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event.  There will also be a limited number of VIP tickets available for $40 in advance or $50 (if available) at the gate. A parking donation of $3 will be given to the Boy Scouts.

This is an outdoor venue so please bring your own chairs.

Ground-Owl Day Proclamation at Rotary Community Garden

For the first time in history, the City of Cape Coral will proclaim February 2nd as "Ground-Owl Day."

Free and open to the public, Cape Coral's inaugural "Ground-Owl Day" will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Rotary Community Garden located just north of City Hall at the corner of Cultural Park Boulevard and SE 10th Street. Mayor Coviello will issue the official proclamation and the winner of the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife "Name the Owl" contest will be announced. 

In addition, light refreshments will be served and everyone in attendance will be anxious to see whether the "Ground-Owl" will see his shadow, thus signaling six more weeks of beautiful "winter weather" in Cape Coral!

Punxsutawney may have “Phil” for their Groundhog Day but Cape Coral is going to have it's own special “Ground-Owl” Day mascot!

On the evening of Saturday, February 2 (aka "Ground-Owl Day"), plan to join the City's Special Events team at Jaycee Park (4215 SE 20th Place) for a FREE "Movie in the Park" featuring a special showing of the movie "Hoot" (co-sponsored by the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife) on a large inflatable movie screen. 

Food trucks and the Cape Coral Fun-Mobile will be at Jaycee Park starting at 5pm, and rumor has it the Burrowing Owl mascot will be available for photo opps before the movie! Bring your own chairs and blankets. The movie will begin at dusk (~6:30pm).

Celebrate Cape Coral’s official City bird during the 17th Annual Burrowing Owl Festival at Rotary Park

Held with major support from the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife volunteer group, this is a fun day for the whole family, filled with entertaining and educational programs, hands-on activities for children, live animals, guided nature walks, butterfly house tours, bus tours to active owl burrows, a silent auction, plus Love Boat Ice Cream and other tasty treats for lunch.

Red, White & Boom

 

The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department is proud to bring you the largest single day event in Southwest Florida. Join us for the 2018 Red, White, and Boom! Over 40,000 people come to the heart of Cape Coral and see Southwest Florida's best fireworks display. To ensure everyone’s safety, please remember; no pets, no fireworks, and no outside alcohol will be allowed. Several food, beverage and craft vendors will be at the event. The event takes place on Cape Coral Parkway at the foot of Cape Coral Bridge.

Kids Patriot Park is open to all guests attending the celebration. The park will close at 9:15pm as the fireworks start at 9:30pm. Ride bands will be for sale at the event. The attractions in the park are:

Cape Coral Bridge Closing - 3:00 am
The Cape Coral Bridge, as well as Cape Coral Parkway from Del Prado Boulevard to the bridge, will be closing at 3:00am on July 4. Please plan your day accordingly and arrange for an alternate route during your travels. Vehicles attempting to turn east or west on Cape Coral Parkway from Del Prado Boulevard will be directed to make a u-turn and head north.

Holiday Boat-A-Long

INFORMATION
A Cape Coral holiday tradition of 42 years, the Holiday Boat-A-Long celebrates the holiday season Southwest Florida style. See dozens of boats lit up in holiday fashion as they make their way across the Bimini Basin at Four Freedoms Park. In addition, enjoy a visit from Santa Claus who will arrive and spend some time taking pictures with the kids. The event also features live performances from local students, food, drinks, and crafts for the kids. Immediately following the boat parade, there will be a FREE movie in the park! The movie is the classic, Christmas Vacation.

PARKINg
There is very limited parking at Four Freedoms Park for the Holiday Boat-a-Long. To get you to the event safely, we will have shuttles to pick you up at the northeast corner of SE 47th Terrace & SE 10th Place (at the stop sign next to Big Blue Brewing). You can park in any downtown lot right near the pickup location. Club Square, the lot across from Cape Vineyard Church and the lot behind Iguana Mia will be the closest lots. For those that need handicap parking, we will have about 30-40 spaces at the park. When this parking fills up at Four Freedoms, there are lots of handicap parking spaces in the downtown lots right near the pickup and the shuttles are handicap accessible, or you can do a drop-off at the park. [Please note: Any lots by the event charging for parking are not in any way associated with the City of Cape Coral].
